Little Hinges that SWING big Doors
is a phrase that I read many years ago in W. Clement Stone’s best-selling book: THE SUCCESS SYSTEM THAT NEVER FAILS
Interesting how this phrase is a lesson for WOMEN.
W. Clement Stone was a wonderful businessman, lecturer, author and more.
He was delivering a speech for a company in Waco, Tx
where he met Naomi Nyberg, wife to one of his sales managers.
She loved motivational speakers, so she was in the audience with her husband.
At the end of the speech, audience members line up to meet the speaker,
shake their hand, say thank you,
but Naomi Nyberg went on to share how one principle Stone taught her that night reminded her how that was like the “little hinges that SWING big DOORS”.
She told Stone this was a book she was working on
and OH HOW I WISH she would have followed through.
SHE did not — but HE did.
That PHRASE, her phrase “little hinges that SWING big DOORS” became a winning phrase in W. Clement’s Stone’s book SUCCESS SYSTEMS THAT NEVER FAILS, but not in her own book.
John Maxwell uses this phrase as his own,
Ministers have gone onto using this phrase as their own,
but Naomi put a lampshade on her head and did not shine her LIGHT and follow through with her own phrase and complete her work . . . while these MEN had no problem using her LIGHT, her PHRASE for their benefit.
You know what they say: USE IT OR LOSE IT.
Naomi’s loss turned into the gain of many many speakers along the way!
This webinar explores many lessons about LEVERAGE.
Women use leverage better than anyone
because we have to learn how to lift something, move things in ways that require little strength,
so we will examine how LITTLE hinges swing BIG doors.
